ZUMBA® is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.  Zumba® utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.  **Bring a small towel and water!***

Cardio Drumming & Toning (8 Weeks)

Cardio Drumming is a full body workout. We move to the rhythm of music using drum sticks, yoga ball and a bucket. We will also focus on toning using light hand wrights. No experience is needed. Cardio Drumming is great for all fitness levels. Please bring a large bucket, yoga ball, and light hand weights. Kits available to purchase from instructor - $25 for bucket, ball and sticks.

Learn to line dance with Connie. Clear instruction and easy-to-follow lessons. No experience necessary! No partners needed! You will be exercising and having fun while learning the latest line dances. Better yet, the line dancing will enable you to learn balance, rhythm, timing, poise and posture. Join us for dancing and fun! 


Get Fit with the Hits

All fitness levels are invited to “GET FIT WITH THE HITS”! These easy to follow movement combinations, set to some awesome tunes, are taught in a low impact format with opportunities to ‘pick it up’ if you prefer.  Challenge your muscles with resistance tubing (supplied by the instructor) or bring your own light weights. No floorwork.  Complete your workout with a relaxing stretch.  Class is taught by an expert instructor with loads of experience.

Improve your health from the inside out as you energize your body and mind.  Learn exciting new moves like salsa, merengue and cumbia. The movements and pace are modified but we keep all the flavor and excitement of the party! The results are amazing.  Now you can get groovin’ at a pace that’s right for you.

Tai Chi Chuan (10 Weeks)       10:00 to 11:00 AM

Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese exercise system of moderate weight bearing and cardiovascular intensity.  Practiced regularly, Tai Chi will improve flexibility, strength, and fitness.

Aqua Fitness (6 Weeks)           6:30 -to 7:15

Brownstown Middle School Pool
Drop In Fee: $7

Looking for a good workout, but concerned about stress on your joints?  Why not try an aqua fitness class!  Great for all ages and abilities. It is aerobic exercises performed in the shallow end of the pool, using the water as resistance. Aqua Fitness helps build cardiovascular stamina, strength, balance and flexibility. It also helps burn body fat and increase circulation to help rehab healing muscles, joints an injuries by placing resistance on your muscles yet has a fraction of the stress and strain on your body.
