Dr. Patricia A. Odette served as a City Council Member for 8 years before being elected as Mayor. She is active in community affairs and can be found anywhere from reading to the children in our schools to ringing the bell for the salvation army. As an active member of the Kiwanis, she stays involved with all their service projects.
She holds 2 bachelors degrees as well as a Doctorate degree from the National College of Chiropractic. She is a Chiropractic Physician and has been in practice for 32 years. She was chosen by the Governor to oversee the Chiropractic Profession in the state of Michigan for 4 years, serving both as the vice chair to the Board of Chiropractic Examiners as well as the sub disciplinary committee. She was the first person to chair Woodhaven's Relay for Life and raised over $100,000 each year that she chaired the event. She has one daughter Toni, who is an assistant prosecutor for Wayne County.
As Mayor she has an open door policy and responds personally to every email or phone call that she receives from the residents. She works every day to insure that the City is a safe place in which to live, and that our parks are a place where our families can enjoy time with their children and be proud to say that they are from Woodhaven. Her motto is simple, "People come first!"
