CCW Permit Procedure

On July 1, 2003 the procedure changed for obtaining a CCW permit. The applicants must now take all the pertinent paperwork to the County Clerk at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center, 2 Woodward Ave. Detroit on the 2nd floor between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Pertinent paperwork includes:

CCW application
Gun Class certificate
$100.00 application fee
A passport quality photo 1" x 1½"
Copy of driver's license

If not a US born citizen applicant will need a copy of their "Naturalization Certificate"
** Applicant is responsible for copies
